Anushka Burde, PharmD, AAHIVP, BCACP

Anushka Burde, PharmD, is a graduate from Idaho State University (ISU) College of Pharmacy and a licensed pharmacist in the State of Idaho. She is a credentialed HIV Pharmacist (AAHIVP) by the American Academy of HIV Medicine and is Board Certified in Ambulatory Care (BCACP) by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties. Along with hepatitis C care management, her area of practice includes HIV, community health and tele-pharmacy. She is a faculty member at the ISU College of Pharmacy, where she teaches PharmD curriculum, is the course coordinator of an undergraduate HIV class and is actively involved with Operation Heart. In her free time, Anushka likes to play badminton, work out at the gym and spend time with her family.

Abby Davids, MD, MPH, AAHIVS

Dr. Davids’ clinical interests focus on the care of migrants and refugees, global medicine and the intersection of infectious disease and primary care. As a faculty member at the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho (FMRI) in Boise, she provides HIV, viral hepatitis, TB and refugee care while teaching residents and practicing full spectrum family medicine.

She is the HIV & Viral Hepatitis Fellowship Director at FMRI and maintains AAHIVM accreditation as an HIV specialist. She also leads the Global Medicine Training Track and became an Associate Program Director for the residency in 2019. She provided viral hepatitis care for Idaho’s incarcerated population from 2016-2020 and staffs FMRI’s viral hepatitis clinic regularly, treating hundreds of patients each year. She has been helping lead FMRI’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including testing for and treatment of the population experiencing homelessness. She speaks English and Spanish, and in her free time she loves to explore Idaho’s beautiful outdoor spaces with her dog, Juniper.

Elsbeth Jensen-Otsu, MD

Dr. Jensen-Otsu specializes in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Boise VA Medical Center, where she has been since 2018. In addition to her clinical work, she is the Medical Director for Gastroenterology and Endoscopy and works with the Boise branch of the University of Washington Internal Medicine Residency Program.

After medical school at the University of Washington, she moved to Denver, Colorado and completed residency at University of Colorado, where she also served as a Chief Resident. Elsbeth completed her fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology at the University of Washington. She is passionate about caring for patients with chronic and advanced liver disease. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, mountain biking and camping.

Lesa Morrison, MD

Professionally trained as a gastroenterologist, hepatologist and transplant specialist, Dr. Morrison spent 20 years with the Seattle VA Medical Center faculty before moving to the Boise VA in 2021.

While in Washington, Dr. Morrison participated in a Project ECHO series - Specialty Care Access Network (SCAN) - from 2012-2016. She also helped to create the Liver Tumor Conference at the Seattle VA and was instrumental in starting the Fatty Liver Clinic at Seattle’s Virginia Mason Medical Center.

When she isn’t working, Dr. Morrison loves to cook, mountain bike, hike with her dog, have dinner with friends and explore her passion for art and architecture. She has a son attending college in Colorado.
