New Student Orientation is required of all new students. Students take an English placement exam to assess their English proficiency. This exam determines the level a student will be placed.
New student orientation is an opportunity for new students to learn about ALCP policies and procedures, set up their University of Idaho email (called VandalMail), get a student identification card, and learn more about how to stay in F-1 student visa status. Make sure to arrive 1-3 days early so your mind is fresh and ready to meet students, staff and faculty.
