U of I Researcher, Team Selected by NASA for Launch of Robot Copter to Saturn Moon

A project to launch a robotic rotorcraft lander to Saturn’s moon Titan, envisioned by a University of Idaho researcher, has been selected by NASA for launch. The mission, known as Dragonfly, involves 35 scientists from around the globe and is funded for up to $850 million. It is led by the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory and beat 11 other teams to win NASA’s New Frontiers Program competition. Read more

Help Celebrate Teresa Dillon's Retirement from U of I

Office of Research and Economic Development (ORED) staff are hosting a retirement party for longtime U of I employee Teresa Dillon at 2:30 p.m. today, June 24, in the IRIC Atrium, Moscow. Dillon is retiring at the end of this month after working for the Office of the President and ORED for a combined 11 years. Dillon is well-known across the Moscow campus for her keen ability to anticipate leadership needs and ensure time is managed effectively. She is also known for her polite demeanor and cheerful conversations with fellow staff members. This is the best opportunity to drop in and say good-byes before she leaves Idaho. Read more
