U of I Boise COVID-19 Updates
Last Updated: Aug. 11, 2021
Following CDC guidance, and after consultation with Idaho Public Health, everyone must wear a face covering when in any indoor university-sponsored event or space, regardless of vaccination status. We will review this requirement every three weeks and will communicate changes.
We continue to monitor the increase of the Delta variant in our state and will look at the CDC and City of Boise guidance to determine what is best for our Boise facilities.
All Vandals are strongly encouraged to be vaccinated. Supervisors must not ask employees their vaccination status for any reason. Employees can share their own status if they choose.
COVID-19 testing is not required to attend in-person classes at U of I Boise, but we encourage anyone who has been exposed or is showing symptoms to talk to their doctor about being tested.
In general, there is no cost to get tested for COVID-19 with most insurances. Please call your insurance provider for details. Because of testing availability in the Treasure Valley, U of I Boise is not requiring testing but instead is encouraging all students and employees to get tested if they have been exposed to COVID-19 and/or are experiencing symptoms.
All Boise-based classes will return to in-person starting fall semester 2021. Refer to the class schedule to learn more about your class format.
