Architectural Design Competition Sees Highest Participation; Three Winners Named

Mariah Soriano, Kevin Brzezicki and Claire Trout earned top honors for designs they submitted to the 50th Edition of the Idaho Concrete Masonry Association-sponsored Architectural Design Competition last month. Students were tasked with conceptualizing the design of a new Airport Terminal for the Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport. The competition required the use of concrete masonry in the building. U of I’s College of Education, Health and Human Sciences (CEHHS) launched a program in fall 2019 to support faculty with an external professional development opportunity to help them design effective and engaging online courses for students. The 16-week online course, offered in partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Madison, engaged 20 faculty from four colleges across campus in an authentic learning environment to experience pedagogical and technological best practices.
