Candi's Cookies was created in 2017 when numerous friends and colleagues encouraged Candi Bailey to expand her skills beyond her own kitchen. After years of decorating cakes for family and friends, she decorated her first set of cookies for college care packages for two of her children and their friends. Soon after, her love of theme boxes inspired her to create more cookies, which were shipped across the country. She quickly discovered that she really loved teaching and seeing the smiles on everyone's faces as they create their first amazingly decorated cookies.
In the fall of 2018, the U of I Margaret Ritchie School of Family and Consumer Sciences invited Candi to be its first Expert-in-Residence to share her skills with both students and the community.
