The Department of Plant Sciences works to advance research and address many local, regional and global challenges such as breeding plants to tolerate drought-stress, developing sustainable cropping practices and conserving plant species for future generations. The department offers undergraduate majors in crop science, horticulture and urban agriculture, biotechnology and plant genomics and crop management. Minors in crop science and horticulture and advanced degrees in plant science are also offered.
Plant sciences delivers statewide programs of teaching, research and extension about crops, horticulture and genomics.
Our faculty and support personnel are located on the main Moscow campus and at research and extension centers in Aberdeen, Idaho Falls, Kimberly, Parma and Twin Falls.
