Looking Ahead: U of I Coeur d’Alene Leads the Way
At the heart of one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the country, the University of Idaho Coeur d’Alene is uniquely positioned to lead North Idaho in educational and economic excellence. In collaboration with community, business and academic leaders, U of I is actively expanding programming to help elevate Coeur d’Alene as an economic stronghold and hub of innovation.
Up Next: U of I Technology and Innovation Center
U of I Coeur d’Alene plans to bring experiential learning to the next level with a new, state-of-the-art Technology and Innovation Center. The space will house educational, research and professional development services in the heart of downtown Coeur d’Alene. In addition to the already established computer science program, the center is expected to pave the way for local U of I programs in entrepreneurship, industrial technology, electrical engineering, data analytics, and virtual technology and design. Collaborative spaces will provide faculty, students and industry professionals with cross-discipline connection through classrooms and laboratories.
Universities and industry largely benefit from a symbiotic relationship. With U of I located in downtown Coeur d’Alene, we are able to connect with academia to impact the next generation of innovators and tech talent. Tyler Alvarado,
