Sociology Degrees

Sociology investigates the organization of societies and the social forces that influence human behavior. Students who study sociology have the opportunity to explore a variety of complex issues, including race and ethnicity, gender, deviant behavior, the causes and consequences of crime, criminal justice policy, social class and poverty, religion, and research methods. Sociology students also have opportunities to gain practical work experience through internships and service learning.
