Department of Fish and Wildlife Sciences

As a student in the Department of Fish and Wildlife Sciences, you will have the opportunity to combine your love of animals and the outdoors with the exploration of science. Study animal ecology, behaviors and interactions. Learn to restore habitats and to sustainably manage fish and wildlife populations. Understand social and political challenges related to fish and wildlife policy.

Students in ecology and conservation biology learn how to lead conservation and sustainable land management efforts. This flexible program helps you tailor your classes to fit your goals and give you the tools you need to help conserve biological diversity.

In all of our programs you have the opportunity to gain hands-on research experience working alongside our internationally-renowned faculty members.
