All are welcome to enjoy this FREE event. Learn about the plants and animals of Idaho’s iconic rangelands and how University of Idaho researchers are studying the range for improved ranching, conservation, and recreation. Dinner is on us (burgers, potato salad, chips, and soda)!
4 p.m. I-ROAM and Discovery Day
Head down early for some family-friendly fun on the range!
- Explore the Idaho Rangeland Resources Commission’s I-ROAM trailer, a youth educational trailer that travels across the state to teach students about Idaho’s rangelands.
- Join a Discovery Day nature walk hosted by The Nature Conservancy. TNC’s Tess O’Sullivan, local plant expert, will spotlight the abundant and diverse plants of the Wood River Valley. Discovery Day is appropriate for different activity levels, but parents must stay with children.

Listen to University of Idaho faculty talk about research and restoration projects taking place at Rinker Rock Creek Ranch while you enjoy a burger from the grill.
