Alcohol & Other Drugs Workshops
Presentations are available upon request to broaden understanding of alcohol and drug use.
Request a workshop seven days in advance and arrangements will be made to bring teaching materials and resources to your classroom or organization. Workshops normally last 30-90 minutes.
Available Workshops
A peer-facilitated outreach workshop that interactively covers estimating blood-alcohol concentration, tracking standard drinks and pouring demonstrations. Students will identify the good and not-so-good aspects of college drinking, and identify strategies to reduce risk and bystander tips to respond to an alcohol emergency.

Have you ever been concerned about a friend’s alcohol or other drug use? This workshop will discuss warning signs of alcohol or other drug abuse and how to decrease defensiveness for supportive conversation. We will discuss campus resources available and how to make referrals and provide other support.

Participants learn the warning signs of alcohol-related emergencies and tips and strategies on how to intervene when a friend needs help. We will also discuss overcoming potential barriers to intervening and the amnesty policy.
