Healthy Holiday Challenge
6-Week Challenge: Nov. 24 - Jan. 4
Join the Healthy Holiday Challenge and keep the holiday weight gain and stress at bay this year! Our goal is to help you stay consistent with your workouts during a very busy and calorie-filled time of year. University of Idaho students, faculty, staff and community members are welcome to join the challenge.
Snowflakes - I try to workout but this challenge will encourage me to stay active.
Mistletoe - I workout to see my friends and to stay healthy.
Blizzards - I am competitive and a weekday warrior with my workouts.
Teams can consist of three to six people. Designate a team captain and team captains will register team members (name and email address). Once the team has registered, the team captain will send members a link to log their weekly activity.
Stay active. It's that simple. As long as you are movin' and shakin', it counts. To log daily activity, one point per 15 consecutive minutes of physical activity (stretching, running, biking, yoga, shoveling snow, yard work, walking your dog, etc). A maximum of 8 points per day is allowed. Each week will have up to 3 point for bonus points.
Weekly points need to be submitted by Tuesday at Noon (PST).
Winning team in each category will be given a t-shirt provided by the VandalStore.
Weekly drawings for teams who log their exercise for the week. Prizes include fitness gear, Sodexo giftcards and water bottles.
Grand Prize (random individual drawing) (6) Fitbits. To be entered into the drawing, participants must log points for each week. Fitbits were donated from Blue Cross of Idaho
Best prize of all, getting your new year off to a healthy start.
