U of I’s College of Education, Health and Human Sciences (CEHHS) launched a program in fall 2019 to support faculty with an external professional development opportunity to help them design effective and engaging online courses for students. The 16-week online course, offered in partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Madison, engaged 20 faculty from four colleges across campus in an authentic learning environment to experience pedagogical and technological best practices. University of Idaho, Idaho Falls assistant professor Michael Haney was named one of Idaho’s Brightest Stars of 2020. He will be recognized during a ceremony at 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at the Center for Higher Education Building, Room 104, in Idaho Falls. Established in 2001, the Brightest Stars Awards recognize individuals, businesses, nonprofits and civic organizations, teachers, veterans and students for their commitment to volunteerism. Read more

Students Earn American Nuclear Society's 2019 Best Paper Award

University of Idaho chemical engineering graduate student Aman Gupta earned the American Nuclear Society's (ANS) Operations and Power Division's "2019 Best Paper Award." The paper was presented during the ANS Annual Meeting in Minneapolis in June 2019. The certificate was presented at the winter meeting in November 2019. Read more
