Morteza Soltani has been a doctoral student and research assistant in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Idaho since January 2017. Prior to this position, Soltani was a master's student and research assistant in the department of Electrical Engineering at Istanbul Medipol University from September 2014 to December 2106. During this time, Soltani focused on wireless communication research problems and successfully published several research papers. Before joining Istanbul Medipol University in 2014, Soltani was bachelor's student in the department of Electrical Engineering at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad from September 2009 to August 2013. In this period of time, Soltani focused on the course work and ranked as the second student with highest GPA among 120 students in the department.
His current research spans a wide range of topics in wireless communications and networking including physical layer security, cryptography, information theory, performance limits of communications at low power regime and low complexity detection algorithms in cellular networks, multiple input multiple output communication system, cognitive radio networks and visible light communication (VLC) systems.
