Our Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion
Improving an ever-changing world requires the knowledge and skillsets of a highly diverse engineering community.
Essential to that vision is finding new ways to increase the number of women and underrepresented minorities among our students and faculty in the College of Engineering at the University of Idaho.
ASEE Diversity Recognition Program - Bronze Level
Our college has been nationally recognized by the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) as a Bronze Level institution for leadership in its diversity initiative and inclusive excellence.
Our diversity plan was also recognized by the ASEE as Exemplar, shining examples of programs that are making great progress and have a comprehensive plan in place.
This recognition highlights our work toward establishing support for underrepresented groups in engineering; assessing our policies, culture, and climate; and implementing programs to strengthen our K-16 pipeline, reducing significant barriers related to long-term growth.
