Women in Engineering Events
The University of Idaho College of Engineering strives to double its number of women students to 25 percent and women faculty to 15 percent in the next decade. This effort is part of a larger strategy to foster an inclusive, more diverse community of students, faculty, and staff and prepare our college to be awarded the Bronze level of ASEE’s Diversity Recognition rankings.
Our Women in Engineering Impact
- 250 7th to 12th grade girls a year participate in Women in Engineering and STEM-related outreach events
- 76 percent of Women in Engineering Exploration event participants said they could envision themselves studying engineering in college

Women in Engineering Day is a free workshop designed to introduce students to academic and career options in engineering and computer science. Open to ALL students in 11th and 12th grades.
