Schedule of Events

This is your day — make it your own! There are a couple sessions you won’t want to miss; they’re highlighted in yellow. The rest of the day is dedicated to making sure all your questions get answered – you’ll choose what sessions you attend and offices to visit. If you get lost, come to home base, the main event room, at any time and an admissions counselor will point you in the right direction.

4 p.m. – Campus Tour

Join us for a live virtual tour of our beautiful campus led by Vandal REPS tour guides.

5:45–6:30 p.m. – University Honors Program Open House

Whether you are already admitted to the Honors Program or interested in what it has to offer, drop in to learn more about Honors curriculum requirements, prepare for academic advising in your colleges, learn about Honors housing options and the Honors community. Stop by and ask your questions, then hop off. 

6:30-7:15 p.m. – Informational Session I

Choose one of the following for the whole session timeframe:

• Campus Life - Join one of our 200+ clubs and organizations on campus! Learn more ways to get involved through a variety of unique extra circular activities presented by our Department of Student Involvement
• Housing and Residence Life - Here for you. Every day. Engage thrive and succeed surrounded by supportive and trained live-in staff. Vandal Living offers you safety, academic support and interactive programs to get to know your Vandal community. Where you choose your own path and select your own living space. Join us and hear from students and staff about why they love living on-campus!
• Fraternity and Sorority Life - The Greek Community has been a cornerstone of the U of I’s legacy since the university was founded in 1889. It consists of 33 Greek organizations whose members make up more than 20 percent of the student population. Come learn how you can be a part of this U of I tradition.
• Current Student Panel - Take this opportunity to learn the inside scoop about life as a Vandal! Current students, from across campus, will answer a variety of question to help you better understand what it means to be a student at the University of Idaho.
• Pre-Health Professions - Interested in pursuing a career in healthcare? Come get a glimpse of what the road ahead and learn some strategies to prepare yourself for success as a Pre-Health undergraduate.
• Student Success Services - Get connected to campus resources! Come learn all about the rich academic support services available to you so that you can reach your academic, professional and personal goals.
• Center for Disability Access and Resources - Learn how to request accommodations through the Center for disability Access and Resources and some common accommodations.

7:15-8 p.m. – Informational Session II

4:30–8:30 p.m. – Drop-in to a Campus Office for Help

These offices are open all day to assist you! Come by anytime and someone will be available to personally assist you.

• ITS – Need help with your Vandal Accounts?
• Registrar – Transfer questions? Dual credit?
• Admissions – Change your major? Issues with application?
• Financial Aid – Individual breakout rooms for personalized financial aid questions.
• Main Event Room – Lost? This room is staffed by Recruitment Team to help you navigate the event.

9-9:30 a.m. – Welcome and Check-in
Pitman Center Veranda/Tribal Lounge

Get started. Let us welcome you to campus and help you start off your day. Check in and get free swag and a run-down of the day, then head over to the VandalStore to use your Starbucks gift card to get coffee, a breakfast treat or Vandal gear.

Need to register for Fall 2021 classes? Sign up at check-in for an appointment with your academic advisor. Not sure if you are all set? That’s okay! Stop by the table to ask.

12:30-2 p.m. – Department Tabling

We’re bringing campus to you. Learn more about the programs and resources available to students by visiting tables and chatting with staff and students.

12:30-2 p.m. – Explore Campus, Take a Tour
Departing from the VandalStore Plaza

• Campus – Spend 60 minutes exploring the University of Idaho campus with one of our Vandal REPS tour guides. This walking tour will help you understand life as a Vandal and what the University of Idaho campus offers students!
• Fraternity & Sorority – Have you ever wondered what life is like in a sorority or fraternity chapter house? Join us as we explore some of our beautiful chapter facilities to learn what it’s like for our members to live and learn together.
• Residence Hall – See the variety of residence hall options for incoming students.
• University Library – Discover all the Library has to offer – from the MILL to Special Collections.
• Student Recreation Center – Take a peek at the university’s student fitness facility.

Take Care of Business

These activities will be available all day long for you to get things done before you come to campus in August.

• Get Financial Aid questions answered.
• Be ready for Fall 2021 by registering for classes.
• Understand tuition, billing & payment plans at Student Accounts.
