The rest of the day is dedicated to making sure all your questions get answered – you’ll choose what sessions you attend and offices to visit. If you get lost, come to home base, the main event room, at any time and an admissions counselor will point you in the right direction.

Let us welcome you to the University of Idaho and get you prepared for a successful UIdaho Bound.

10:15-11:25 a.m. - Advising 101 and College Q&A

Join your college for an information session on advising and registration. At this session, you’ll sign up for a personal appointment with your advisor. You’ll be able to pick an appointment with a date and time fits your schedule. Then, stick around for time to hear from your college representatives and ask any questions you may have. Not sure which major is in which college? Follow the links below to find out.


10:30-11:30 a.m. – VandalStar Drop-in Support

Staff will be available to assist you with scheduling appointments through VandalStar. Please make sure you have set up your Vandal Accounts first.

10:45-11:30 a.m. - University Honors Program Open House

Whether you are already admitted to the Honors Program or interested in what it has to offer, drop in to learn more about Honors curriculum requirements, prepare for academic advising in your colleges, learn about Honors housing options and the Honors community. Stop by and ask your questions, then hop off. 

11:30 a.m. to Noon – Informational Session I

  • Campus Life - Join one of our 200+ clubs and organizations on campus! Learn more ways to get involved through a variety of unique extra circular activities presented by our Department of Student Involvement

Join us and hear from students and staff about why they love living on-campus!
  • Fraternity and Sorority Life Chapter House Tours - Have you ever wondered what life is like in a sorority or fraternity house? Join us as we explore some of our beautiful chapter facilities and learn what it’s like for our members to live and learn under the same roof.
  • Current Student Panel - Take this opportunity to learn the inside scoop about life as a Vandal! Current students, from across campus, will answer a variety of question to help you better understand what it means to be a student at the University of Idaho.
  • Pre-Health Professions - Interested in pursuing a career in healthcare? Come get a glimpse of what the road ahead and learn some strategies to prepare yourself for success as a Pre-Health undergraduate.
  • Student Success Services - Get connected to campus resources! Come learn all about the rich academic support services available to you so that you can reach your academic, professional and personal goals.
  • Center for Disability Access and Resources - Learn how to request accommodations through the Center for disability Access and Resources and some common accommodations.
  • Military and Veteran Services - The Military and Veteran Services Office assists veterans and dependents in obtaining their GI Bill® benefits and developing strategies to maximize their use. We work for the university and advocate for our students.

  • Current Student Panel - Take this opportunity to learn the inside scoop about life as a Vandal! Current students, from across campus, will answer a variety of question to help you better understand what it means to be a student at the University of Idaho.
  • Pre-Health Professions - Interested in pursuing a career in healthcare? Come get a glimpse of what the road ahead and learn some strategies to prepare yourself for success as a Pre-Health undergraduate.

If you have private questions or need assistance with choosing your room you can talk to staff in an individual breakout room.

Departing from the VandalStore Plaza

  • Campus – Spend 60 minutes exploring the University of Idaho campus with one of our Vandal REPS tour guides. This walking tour will help you understand life as a Vandal and what the University of Idaho campus offers students!
  • Fraternity & Sorority – Have you ever wondered what life is like in a sorority or fraternity chapter house? Join us as we explore some of our beautiful chapter facilities to learn what it’s like for our members to live and learn together.
  • Residence Hall – See the variety of residence hall options for incoming students.
  • University Library – Discover all the Library has to offer – from the MILL to Special Collections.
  • Student Recreation Center – Take a peek at the university’s student fitness facility.

Take Care of Business

These activities will be available all day long for you to get things done before you come to campus in August.

  • Get Financial Aid questions answered.
  • Be ready for Fall 2021 by registering for classes.
  • Understand tuition, billing & payment plans at Student Accounts.
