Identification and Diagnostic Services

Due to Covid 19 the office is closed. We are still answering questions via email. If you have a gardening question, a plant problem or need a plant or weed identified, please fill out the appropriate forms below. Email the forms with pictures (if appropriate) to adamg@uidaho.edu. If you are unable to email the form back to us, please send us an email with as much information from the form as possible. Realize that identifying plant problems, weeds and insects from pictures is difficult if the pictures are not clear. We need close-up shots as well as farther away pictures to see the entire plant. For insects, please position a penny next to the insect to give us some scale. We will do our best.

Clinic Hours

Our seasonal hours:

  • Monday-Wednesday
  • May-August: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Off-Season:
Please drop off your sample and form at the office, and someone will get back to you.
