Rural Studies Program and Extension Develop Infographics for COVID-19 in Idaho

The Rural Studies Program and U of I Extension have developed infographics for every county in Idaho and the state to manage the unknown around the threat of coronavirus (COVID-19). The infographics show an interactive map and the confirmed cases of COVID-19. It also exhibits the number of hospital beds and a variety of socio-demographic data to aid in response and mitigation. Rangeland Center Members Contribute to Translational Animal Science

Six Rangeland Center members recently published papers in a journal dedicated to animal science. The Translational Animal Science’s December 2019 issue featured University of Idaho faculty and graduate students from the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, the College of Natural Resources and U of I Extension. Authors in the Rangeland Center included Jim Sprinkle, beef extension specialist; Tracey Johnson, assistant professor of wildlife habitat ecology in rangeland systems and director of research at Rinker Rock Creek Ranch; Melinda Ellison, assistant professor of range livestock research; Carmen Willmore, Extension educator for Lincoln County; Joseph Sagers, Extension educator for Jefferson County; and John Hall, superintendent of the Nancy M. Cummings Research, Extension and Education Center and cattle management lead at Rinker Rock Creek Ranch. Read more
