Shana Codr brings over 15 years of events and office management experience to Idaho 4-H Youth Development. She is highly knowledgeable in managing finances, creating and writing policies, and ensuring best business practices. She enjoys collaborating with youth, volunteers and colleagues to bring outstanding programs and opportunities to Idaho’s youth and families.
Shana is responsible for many events, including:
- State Teen Association Convention
- Know Your Government
- National Dairy Conference
- National Conference
- National Congress
- committee, faculty/staff and professional development events
Early in her career, Shana took over the role as sole-proprietor of a small child care business serving over 60 families in her local community. Not only did the role provide her with experience in owning and operating a business, it also ignited a passion for early care and education. It became her mission to provide quality services and resources to meet the needs of families and children both locally and statewide. This continued passion for early care and education motivated her to pursue her higher education goals, where as a non-traditional student with two young sons at home, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Child, Family and Consumer Sciences from the University of Idaho in 2009. With her background and experience in human development, Shana is excited to continue her journey and commitment to community and families through her work with the 4-H Youth Development program.
Born and raised in the Inland Northwest, Shana appreciates the beauty and serenity of living and working on the Palouse. She enjoys listening to live music, attending her sons' sporting events, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
