Sharla serves as the 4-H Extension educator for Kootenai County and is an assistant professor with the University of Idaho. Wilson oversees 4-H youth development programming in Kootenai and Shoshone counties.

Sharla Wilson is extension educator in 4-h youth development for Kootenai County and an assistant professor with the University of Idaho. Wilson oversees 4-H youth development programming in Kootenai and Shoshone counties, which is the 4-H program that she grew up in. The Kootenai/Shoshone 4-H program has been able to boast about being one of the largest, if not the largest, 4-H club member program in Idaho for several years running. Wilson is also working to expand 4-H youth development into the area of afterschool, new out of school opportunities and working with entire schools on potential in-school club programs for local youth. Sharla serves at the northern district 4-HOnline support person, serves on the state 4-H volunteer learning network team as well as on the meat animal task force. Sharla previously served as the Kootenai/Shoshone 4-H program coordinator from 2002 to 2015. She currently serves as chair for Kootenai County. She got both her master’s in adult and organizational learning and leadership (2017) and bachelor’s in animal science (1998) from the University of Idaho.
