Funding Can Be The Greatest Barrier To Education
While her family has always been supportive of her dreams of getting a college degree, the greatest hurdle Emma Carson faced was finding the funding needed to come to U of I. Scholarship support made her academic career possible.
“The scholarships that I received have kept me from accumulating debt during my undergraduate degree,” Carson said.
In addition to her studies, Carson volunteers at a global leadership seminar and interned with the Idaho AFL-CIO during the 2017 legislative term. These experiences have inspired her to pursue a doctorate in political science, which would not be attainable without financial assistance.
“Your generous support has allowed me to seek a higher education and follow my passions,” she said. “Thank you!”
