Gifts to Biological Engineering will establish a Teaching Laboratory used by faculty to transform the educational experiences of our students. The new lab will provide students an opportunity to gain hands-on experiential learning with relevant techniques, contributing to the U of I achievement of "excellence in teaching”.
Chemical & Materials Engineering
Gifts to the Chemical & Materials Engineering Drown Laboratory in honor of David Drown will create a flexible space for coursework, teaching, senior design projects, update lighting, electrical, ventilation, and provide secure modular cabinetry.

Gifts to the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory Equipment fund will replace machine lab equipment, enhance student learning of machining, improve quality of prototypes, and increase stakeholder engagement around mutually beneficial design projects.
Civil & Environmental Engineering
Gifts to the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering Development Fund will be used to establish a dedicated working space for the concrete canoe and steel bridge teams, renovate the Structures Lab, replace equipment in the Geotech Teaching Lab, and create a new Environmental Engineering Teaching Lab.
