Hometown: Inkom, Idaho
My name is Alyson Acheson and I am a 3L. I attended Idaho State University for my undergraduate education.
I chose to come to the University of Idaho because I like the small class sizes and the connection to the legal community in Idaho. I also really appreciate that the professors and staff here are very dedicated to the success of their students in and out of the classroom. I spent the summer after my first year externing for Judge N. Randy Smith of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. I am spending my second summer in Boise working for a local law firm.
In my free time I enjoy reading, baking, kayaking, and playing with my dog.
My words of advice: Don’t be afraid to try new things. The best experiences I have had in law school are when I step outside my comfort zone and challenge myself to try new things.
