Hometown: Boise, Idaho
My name is Aspen Compton-Hoyte and I am currently a 3L. I am a Boise native, so when the College of Law’s Boise program launched, I knew it was time to fulfill my long-time goal of going to law school and becoming an attorney. I am spending my last summer before graduation with the Garden City Attorney's Office, where I am getting experience in criminal prosecution, municipal planning and zoning, and land use issues. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, but I will be spending all of my upcoming free time with a Golden Retriever puppy, Ruth--can you guess the inspiration for her name?
My words of advice: Work hard, do your best, and let the rest fall into place. It’s easy to get caught up in the rat race, but you’ll be a happier person and a better student if you focus on what is truly important--and that is being a happy and well-rounded person!
