Faculty International Seed Grant Available; Proposals Due Nov. 1
August 27, 2019
Proposals are now available for Faculty International Seed Grants as part of the Blazing Trails Initiative through the Vandal Ideas Project. The $1,000-$3,200 grants are intended to be used in the creation of a new U of I Faculty/Staff-Led International Travel (FSIT) program, specifically under a model that aims to offer yearly summer programs abroad in which students will earn general education credit. Read more and apply.
The program was created in effort to develop a signature international Vandal experience abroad for students who've just finished their first year at U of I, that will appeal to students across disciplines and help them gain international experience early in their college career. Proposals are due by Friday, Nov. 1. More information is available by contacting Kate Wray Chettri, director of Education Abroad, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
