New Workers Compensation Website

December 13, 2019

Employees injured at work have a right to file a Workers Compensation claim. For information about Workers Compensation for U of I employees, visit the new Workers Compensation website at

The website includes:

  • What to do when an incident or "near miss" occurs;
  • How to start a Workers Compensation claim;
  • How to report time away from work;
  • Information to help the injured employee with their claim;
  • Information to assist the supervisor.

All employees are encouraged to report any on-the-job accidents and "near misses," even if you haven't yet received medical treatment. Reports help the university identify and mitigate risks to all employees.
