2020 U of I Employee Required Training Launches Jan. 13, 2020

December 19, 2019

In an ongoing effort to train and educate staff, an updated, annual required training course will be available starting Monday, Jan. 13, 2020. The course will contain four chapters covering discrimination and harassment (including sexual misconduct), diversity and inclusion, IT security and fire safety. The training should take less than two hours to complete. The goal of the training is to enhance understanding of acceptable and unacceptable behavior and share information on policies, procedures and available resources.

All regular faculty and staff, temporary faculty and staff, and student employees (including graduate students) with appointments lasting longer than three months must complete training no later than Friday, Dec. 11, 2020. Employees who do not complete the required training by the deadline may be subject to administrative or disciplinary actions.

Detailed online access instructions will be emailed to employees on Monday, Jan. 13, 2020. It is recommended that employees check their email settings to ensure they receive all mandatory training announcements to their inbox rather than the clutter or junk folder by adding the gsmu@uidaho.eduemail address to the "Never Block Sender" or "Whitelist" feature in Outlook.

Contact Elissa Keim, director of employee development and workforce diversity, at 208-885-2322 or ekeim@uidaho.edu with questions or concerns.
