Faculty Success Seminar Oct. 23: NSF CAREER All Year: Getting Started

October 18, 2019

Join the Research and Faculty Development team 12:30-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, in IRIC 305 to learn about getting started on an NSF CAREER proposal. Being well prepared before you start writing your proposal ensures a more competitive application. Learn strategies for identifying and contacting NSF program officers, thinking ahead about education plans and considering the project's broader impacts. A recent CAREER awardee will discuss their experience and answer questions.

The academic year schedule for Faculty Success Seminars is available online. These one-hour seminars will deliver information to enhance the competitiveness of proposals seeking funding to support research and scholarly efforts. The seminars will take place on Wednesdays from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in IRIC 305 (see schedule for exact dates) and will also be connected to other U of I centers via Zoom. All seminars are open to faculty members, postdocs and graduate students, and they will be recorded.
