September 26, 2019
Intellectual property, which includes inventions, literary and artistic works, designs and other creations of the mind, is a key output of any university and a cornerstone of their success. During the next Lunch and Learn talk, "Intellectual Property Basics for Academics," noon on Thursday, Oct. 3, in the IRIC Atrium, Office of Technology Transfer, Director Jeremy Tamsen will explain what intellectual property is and how it can help U of I researchers accomplish through their work in an academic setting.
In this event, learn what tools are available as a staff researcher, a faculty member, or a student; and learn the importance of protecting ideas in a timely manner.
IRIC Lunch and Learn presentations allow students, faculty and staff to share and cross-pollinate ideas in a fun and informal lunchtime setting. All are encouraged to attend.
This event is available to watch via Zoom.
