IT Prioritizes Classroom Support During Start of Fall Semester
August 07, 2020
During the beginning of the fall semesters at U of I, Local IT Support Teams and the Technology Solutions Partners (TSP) must adjust their prioritization processes to focus on support for technology-enabled and HyFlex classrooms. Please be patient with the support staff as they attend to highest priorities which – during this period – will be requests related to course delivery.
The goal is to respond as quickly as possible to classroom service requests. This summer, IT teams across the university added Zoom capabilities to more than 90 existing technology-enabled classrooms and added 50 new HyFlex rooms designated by the Provost, Registrar’s Office and colleges. More information on the technology equipped rooms is available on the CETL website and the ITS Knowledge Base.
Classroom support is available from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday. Depending on the classroom, there are different methods for contacting support that are clearly posted on brightly colored signs in each technology-enabled classroom. Use these contact methods to ensure the best response to technology issues in specific classrooms.
For non-classroom service requests, visit support.uidaho.edu and submit an incident/ticket or request.
