Where does a cell put its resources? Let's sneak a peak.
February 19, 2019
Department of Physics' Andreas Vasdekis, Hamdah Alanazi and Amrah Canul and Department of Statistical Science's Christopher Williams published a study in the journal Nature Communications. They introduce a new imaging technique to record how a single cell allocates its resources between the production of chemicals and cell growth. These measurements have only been possible on groups of cells, resulting in an average and will be useful in developing biotechnologies and tracking human health.
