Student Wins Manuscript Competition

Congratulations to Russell Thacker who won first place in the International Journal of Leadership in Education's Emerging Scholar Manuscript Competition. Thacker is pursuing a doctorate in Education with an emphasis in adult organizational learning and leadership in the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences.

This first prize carries an award of $500 and is accompanied by one year's subscription to the International Journal of Leadership in Education and recognition at the IJLE's Annual General Meeting, which will be held at the American Educational Research Association's (AERA) conference in Toronto, Ontario. In addition, Thacker's winning manuscript is considered for publication. As a further honor, Thacker's been selected to participate in AERA's Division J 2019 Emerging Scholars Workshop. AERA 2019 is being held in Toronto, Ontario and the Emerging Scholars Workshop will be held in Metro Toronto Convention Centre April 4-5. Russell Thacker is also a teaching assistant for ED 668 Writing for Publications course.
