Advertising Team Places Second in Regional Competition

The University of Idaho placed second in the region during the virtual National Student Advertising Competition on April 20. Dane Claussen, lecturer of strategic communications, chose Maya Clark and Margot Vietri to be the team’s leaders (account executives). Other team members included: Andres Borales-Rosales, Saydee Brass, Kiera Carney, Jensen McNabb, Julia Moore, Olivia Nelson, Elizabeth Rabdau, Aliya Reames, Jethro Shorman, Kerigan Smith and Andrea Wadsworth. Teams submitted a 20-page plan book for a Tinder advertising campaign and a 15-minute video presenting the plan book. Teams also participated in a question-and-answer session with the competition’s three judges, who were advertising agency executives. Idaho State University placed first in the competition, which also included Washington State University and the University of Oregon.
