U of I Theatre Presents “Little Women – The Musical”

MOSCOW, Idaho — Nov. 13, 2019 —  Based on Louisa May Alcott’s beloved classic, “Little Women – The Musical” will be presented Dec. 6-15 on the Hartung stage at the University of Idaho.

Produced by U of I’s Department of Theatre Arts, “Little Women – The Musical” follows the adventures of four sisters – aspiring writer Jo, the traditional Meg, shy Beth and romantic Amy as they experience heartache, hope, love and, ultimately, personal growth.

Show times are 7:30 p.m. Dec. 6, 7, 12 and 14, and 2 p.m. Dec. 8, 14 and 15 at the Hartung Theater, 625 Stadium Drive, Moscow. Admission is free for U of I students and $6-22 for the public. Matinees are “pay what you can.” Tickets are available at BookPeople of Moscow, at Shoup Hall Suite 201, by calling 208-885-6465 or at the door 60 minutes before curtain.

This timeless, captivating story features students from the College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences, including Hannah Verdi from Hayden as Jo, Valerie Denton from Meridian as Beth and Victoria Zenner from Boise as Amy, along with Megan Woodward, a student in the College of Science from Portland, Oregon, as Meg.

The production is directed by Ricky Kimball, a Master of Fine Arts in directing candidate. Kimball made his University of Idaho directorial debut with “A Kind of Alaska” by Harold Pinter in 2018.
