U of I Art and Architecture Faculty Exhibit Opens Feb. 11 at Prichard Art Gallery

MOSCOW, Idaho — Feb. 9, 2021 — The University of Idaho Prichard Art Gallery’s annual exhibit of work from faculty in the College of Art and Architecture opens Thursday, Feb. 11, with varied work that celebrates faculty members’ creative activity and scholarly research.

Artwork includes photography, drawings, paintings, sculpture, mixed media, architectural studies and digital media. The artists and designers will present a variety of styles and traditions ranging from representational to abstract and modern to post-modern.

“This exhibit is an opportunity to highlight the unique visions and vigorous research and investigation that our faculty engage in throughout the year,” said Sonja Foard, assistant director of the Prichard.

Participating faculty include Roberto Capecci, Raffealla Sini, Val Carter, J. Casey Doyle, Jean-Marc Gauthier, David Giese, David Gottwald, Lynne Haagensen, Stacy Isenbarger, Aaron Cordell Johnson, Sally Machlis, Delphine Keim, Lauren McCleary, Phillip G. Mead, Michael Sonnichsen and George Wray.

The exhibit, which runs through Sunday, March 28, is sponsored by the College of Art and Architecture, U of I students, individual businesses and Friends of the Prichard Art Gallery.

The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The Prichard is an outreach facility of the College of Art and Architecture and is at 414 S. Main St. on the corner of Fifth and Main streets in downtown Moscow. Admission is free. Additional information about the exhibit is at prichardart.org.
