Biennial Tribal Summit

SAVE THE DATE: Tribal Summit – Nov. 7, 2019

The Office of Tribal Relations and the College of Business and Economics are hosting the third Tribal Summit at the University of Idaho on Nov. 7 in the Bruce Pitman Center – International Ballroom.

The emphasis of this year's summit is on identifying and understanding areas of intersections between the College of Business and Economics and various Tribal business and enterprise departments; understanding Tribal sovereignty and its role in business and economics; and course offerings and areas of emphasis that enhance tribal collaborations and opportunities.

The Tribal Summit is a biennial meeting and collaboration between the UI President and representatives from the 11 tribes who have a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with UI. The first summit, held in 2015, focused on natural resources and the second summit, held in 2017, focused on education and culturally responsive ways of learning and knowing.

The business focus of this year’s summit was developed from the President’s Native American Advisory Council in 2018.

To register please use the link https://ui-tribal-summit.eventbrite.com. The Tribal Summit is open to the public.
