Specialist Available to Help with CAREER Proposals
The UI Office of Research and Economic Development’s proposal development specialist offers customized assistance and guidance to faculty interested in writing a proposal to the National Science Foundation’s Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program.
The CAREER program is NSF’s most prestigious award in support of early career faculty who exemplify the role of teacher-scholars through outstanding research, excellent education and the integration of education and research within the context of the mission of their organizations. Such activities should build a firm foundation for a lifetime of leadership in integrating education and research. NSF especially encourages women, members of underrepresented minority groups, and persons with disabilities to apply.
Proposals are due to NSF in mid-July 2017. Faculty are encouraged to begin proposal preparation early.
