Research

There are numerous opportunities for graduate and undergraduates to work side-by-side with faculty who are pushing the research envelope and making discoveries.

Out of our 118 plus faculty, about 80 are currently managing their own research groups. Through their efforts and assistance from graduate students, our college receives $12 million-plus annually through nationally competitive grants.

Collaboration and Interdisciplinary Research Efforts

What makes research unique at the University of Idaho is that there is a great deal of collaboration among departments. Interdisciplinary research is emphasized at the University of Idaho. Faculty and students from various colleges across campus work together on an exciting array of research projects.
