Students who live on campus have higher GPAs, are more likely to graduate and to be more satisfied with their college experience than students who in live off campus apartments or houses.

Any students who wish to apply for an exemption to live off campus must fill-out the First-Year Residency Requirement Exemption Form with the Dean of Students Office.

The most affordable parking permit is no permit at all! Most Vandals living on campus leave their personal vehicles at home and use alternative transportation to get across campus, all over town and home on breaks. By leaving your personal vehicle at home, you won’t have to purchase a parking permit, you all but eliminate the possibility of parking citations, and you could save thousands of dollars in vehicle upkeep, gas and insurance.

If you need to bring a personal vehicle to campus, purchase a Silver parking permit or an Economy parking permit online in July. Parking and Transportation Services will mail your permit to you and you'll be ready to park with a valid permit when you arrive on campus.

For all parking and transportation information, please visit uidaho.edu/parking. Contact PTS at parking@uidaho.edu or 208-885-6424.

Room and board charges will appear on your Student Account bill, which you can access through VandalWeb. Find your room and board charges by choosing the “Student” tab, then “Student Accounts,” and then “Student Account Billing Statement.”

If you have financial aid, room and board charges will be deducted from your remaining financial aid after your U of I fees have been paid. The remaining balance should be paid in full on or before the first day of the applicable semester.

For your convenience, you may choose to sign up for a payment plan available through VandalWeb that will allow you to make monthly payments during the semester instead of paying the entire amount at the beginning.
